 On August 2nd we invite each of you to participate in our 8K Road Race (USAT&F Certification # 98012BS) and fun walk and to the community celebration, South Carolina's oldest folk festival.)   You will find large and friendly crowds. The festival, a tradition established in 1882, allows for a unique atmosphere to experience family, friends, fun, and fellowship, along with fund raising for various civic organizations.

All paved, closed loop course with plenty of hills that run through a quite rural section of Newberry County.  The course will be marked with signs and will also have course monitors at each turn.  The course is monitored by the Little Mountain Rescue Squad EMT’s in case of an emergency.  Water will be available at several locations along the race route.

First Place Male and Female finishers overall will receive $50.00 Cash Prize. Only two of these prizes will be awarded. Plaques will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers overall.  Other awards will be given to 1st place finishers in each age division.
